About Der Towerrun
Der Towerrun is the brainchild of young director Chud Brunner. His idea for the documentary grew from an ambition to make a piece of ‘gonzo journalism’, however the final film is more of an exploration of various challenges. These challenges include his own character, as well as other issues he faces along with his film crew.
This is an exuberant documentary which is not only a representation of Chud’s unusual character, it also provides an overview of how such a film is made. Filmed in Bristol UK, and Berlin, Germany, you get to see the trials and tribulations of a small film crew slogging it out to make a different sort of documentary.
Unlike other documentaries we show you exactly how it was made, and do not pretend the crew is not present. We show you that filming is neither glamorous nor easy, but that it can be great fun when you are working as part of good team.
So, watch Chud as he battles his debauched character and tries to beat a load of Germans up to the top of a big building in Berlin, and remember, it’s all real!
